ANATOMALIA - Berlin

ANATOMALIA: anatomy + anomaly + femalia

ANATOMALIA is a collective healing of the damage done to femalia (inclusive off all female-ness) and a celebration of queer joy.  Through new archetype, ritual, dance, song, installation, procession and sensual, surreal, dark and humourous choreography - ANATOMALIA seeks to change inner landscape and outer world.

A cast of FLINTA dancers move through to overcome and transform states of shame, fear, repulsion and rage to embrace desire, curiosity and trust to (re)claim joy.  The cast is supported by local performers from the LGBTQIA+ community as a chorus that traverses the space, orbiting the worlds created within, representing the grandmothers, an alternate and future us.

An immersive experience, audience follows the chorus who orbit, intersect, change and navigate the space, to discover ensemble choreographies, theatrical installations and secret performances.

adaptable to blackbox theatres and multi-sited spaces
+ available as video installation/performance hybrid
